question about new iMac

Hey again, maybe someone can explain this to me.. got a new iMac a few weeks back, great, no problems. Now for whatever reason a file called ".ds_store" shows up on the desk top. I delete it, it re-appears. Also, the network globe and server globe thingy's are on the desk top. I don't know why and can't get them to go away. Unit it working fine, no weird stuff going on that I can tell.

Any suggestions ?

Strange, the .ds_store are normally invisible files. The network globe and server globe can be dragged into the trashcan (unmount), but if they appear on startup you probably have selected to mount on startup. Let me know how it goes.
