Question for duhvoodooman !

Hi

I see from your website that you have both the FBJ and the Vox Valvetronix amps (ditto). Why did you buy the Vox when you have got the Fender?
For me it was the cost , cheap amp first (£125) then purchased the fender when I had enough money

The Vox was my first amp (well, the first in about 30 years), and I bought it for it's tremendous flexibility. A few months later, I wanted to try an all-tube amp and bought a used Peavey Delta Blues. Great sounding amp and an incredible value for the money, but after awhile I decided it was just way too loud for my home-playing needs. So I sold it and got the more modestly powered Blues Jr, which I like very much.

The vox is a great starter amp but lacks the warmth of the fender blues jnr.
