Question for the tube geeks

Since I’m new to the party and still learning about tube amps, is there a good beginner’s guide/tutorial or website on tube amps...how such great tone in produced…characteristics of different tubes etc?

I’m curious—if even/odd harmonics are both important to tone, what makes the even harmonics so warm and pleasing to the ear??
