Ran a half marathon

I ran a half marathon yesterday, placed 3rd and earned 100 bucks!

It was a tough race. I was in 4th spot most of the time, but went up in the 2nd position with 2 kilometers to go. Then the guy behind me caught me at the top of a long hill, and then sprinted down the hill where the finish was. There was nothing I could do - his technique running down hill was much better than mine.

I ended up 4 seconds behind (2nd place was $200). If the course had been flat at the ending, he would not have been able to catch me, since I was clearly pulling away on the flat parts.

Congratulations Robert! A little spending money for a quick burst of GAS should control your inner emotions for a short period of time. You could buy a nice supply of stings for the amount you won. When will you be running the second half of the marathon???

Tone is correct. Another 39 half marathons and the Suhr is yours. Or 19 half marathons at 2nd place. Who knows what 1st place half marathons will bring you. Good luck!!!!
