Hi guys--

Just wanted to give a heads up that Agile has low prices on some of their models this week. Examples:

http://www.rondomusic.com/product2572.html
http://www.rondomusic.com/al3100bkslim.html
http://www.rondomusic.com/al3000wineredflame.html

These are all AL-3XXX models selling for $300, which is a solid $100 off of the normal price. If I needed another LP guitar (which I don't), I'd be on this like a fat man on a jelly donut. That's a great deal on a very well-made guitar. I hope someone can take advantage of the lowered prices!

What's this talk of 'not needing another guitar'? ;-) There's always a need for a new guitar, otherwise you could not keep selling off the old ones!

Boy, that yellow 3100 does look sweet. But, with the customs duties and the shipping it would cost me around 450 bucks, which ain't bad really but too much to pay for something sight unseen, and enough to buy a real good used guitar here I can actually test. Actually it buys pretty much any basic LP copy here by Epi, LTD, Vintage, Tokai...

Looks like a sweet deal over there, though. I have considered selling off some guitars to get an LP style axe again...since I got the SG I have been diggin' that Gibson scale so well. After all, I played only gibby scales for close to 15 years, it feels so familiar and there's no denying it's that much easier to play lively leads on than strats, due to the scale.

If I came accross either a Zakk Wylde paul in Epi version (maple fretboard on gibby scale would interest me hugely...)or an Epi prophecy paul (I've been digging the quality of the SG a lot) I might not be able to resist...

It really is a wonder, with such nice LPs such as those, that anybody would spend hundreds more for an Epiphone that still wouldn't have as many features. Even at the regular price they're a bargain; at 3 bills, they're a steal!

I always wondered if all the Agile hype was just that. I recently purchased a 3125 chambered model in HSBF and it is one of the nicest guitars I own period. The reason I bought the chambered body is that the 10 lbs per guitar is just too heavy.
I have owned several chambered Gibsons and it is hard to go back to a heavy Les Paul.
One of the really nice things about the new Agiles is the Graph tec nut and bridge. They are really nice and are upwards of 100 dollars to buy separately. I have 6 LP type guitars or I would be all over that black 3100. For 300 I could live with the weight.
Oh and one other thing. Those Agile Alnico Vs are really sweet pickups. I have owned many HBs and I would not change them.

Good stuff to know. I still think either one of the pauls or the Harm would be good for my kid. I emailed him a link to the Harm to check out.

I think men should think of guitars as jewelry... That's what I gonna try to explain at the dinner table, tonight.

ahem... *cough* er...

Seriously, spouse like the color.... gotta buy the real lookers!
