I am new here at The Fret and I thought I would show you what I use REVERENDS (bolt-ons). I was a long time Fender Man (over 30 years) but Reverend converted me after I bought my first a Club King HB model (no longer made) and since then it has been Reverends only. I am now the proud owner of a Club King HB, Gil Parris Model and a Buckshot now with these three models I can cover any type of music with monster tone. If you are looking for something different with great workmanship and tone at a unreal real price I urge you to try one out for yourself you will not be disappointed.:bravo:

The Club King 290 is probably the one I will get.

I would love to find a Reverend Amp, I have never heard one but from what I have read they are great. The Guitars are fantanstic.

I love my Reverend Daredevil HB. Just a killer guitar, and the fact that the company is so cool and engaged is icing on the cake. Joe Naylor said in an interview that his instruments are the "muscle cars of the guitar world."

I live the swirly one for looks, but I am not really found of HSS guitars.

The 3 lipstick pup one certainly looks like it has mojo.

I picked up a Jetstream 390 a couple of months back and love it. As you say, great workmanship, tone & playability at a great price. Super value guitars! Here's mine:

Sounds like a cross between a P90 LP and a Strat. Definitely has that characteristic P90 snarl & bite, but the 5-way selector on the 3 pickups gives it the Strat-iness. You get a noticeable quack at positions 2 and 4 and a stronger single coil character than you hear in a LP or an SG with P90s. At the same time, it's a much beefier tone than a Strat and the bass contour control lets you ladle on the fat if you want even more. You have to be careful with that when using the middle and neck pickups, though, because you can overdo it and muddy up the tone. Overall, a very versatile instrument with a boatload of available tones....

Former Michigander from Bay City. Now living north of Green Bay, WI. I know that there's a place in Iron Mountain and one more towards the Fox Valley that sells Reverends. I'm just afraid I'd REALLY want a Volcano then.

I did not have to do anything to mine except strings and I can be the picky one to say the least, lol....

I did some more "research" on their website last night and I've settled on a few favorites... The Buckshot, Jetstream, and Sensei models are what I like. I do know of a local dealer so I might try them out sometime soon. My only concern is that they seem to be a little on the "high" side in terms of pricing for an import (quick web search shows Elderly selling these guitars in the $800 - $900 range)... especially since Fender just introduced the American Specials for $799...

Nah, they're not generally that high. Though there are a couple of pricier signature models, most of the Reverends run $600 - $650 "street price" range.

I really like the Reverend I have, and another one is on my short list for my next HB guitar (Sensei HB). The Reverend neck is incredible and the Bass Contour knob acts like a coil splitter for HB's. With Reverends, you'll not likely need to change anything, unlike some lower cost guitars. The pickups are all great.

The problem is, what to choose? I don't think you can go wrong with any of their models. The quality is of a much more expensive guitar. The Warhawk should be fairly available, too. You could find a well taken care of one on ebay with some patience. It is most like a Gibson Firebird, but a reverse angle body... Really cool to my eyes. You'll be able to to pull off a wide variety of style and tones from any of their double HB guitars.

I tried the Warhawk II HB and the WARHAWK II 390 few days ago, and I couldn't decide which one is better for me. Those two guitars are actually the same guitars with different pickups (the HB model has humbuckers and the 390 model has P90).
I play mainly classic rock and heavy rock (like Beatles, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC\DC, Nirvana, Guns N Roses, Metallica, etc.).
Which pickups are better for me ? And are those guitars even good, anyway ?

You really can't go wrong, but for most of the bands you've named, you'd probably be happier with the Warhawk II HB. That being said, both models are excellent, versatile guitars. Either one will go with you in just about any stylistic direction you want to go.

Are those guitars even good, you ask? The answer is absolutely yes. Reverends in general are top-notch instruments, and the Warhawk is one of their more badass designs imho.

I will echo what has been said about Reverend guitars. Top notch instruments in every way. I really love my Reverend Warhawk II HB. Hands down, it's the best mid-priced instrument I've laid my hands on in a long while. Very versatile and ideal for all sorts of rock music from classic rock and hard rock to punk, post-punk, indie rock.. You name it and the Warhawk II can do it.

Each time I pick up my Reverend after playing other guitars, it feels like going home... As in, the neck is so perfect, fitting my hand and fretting so well.

Here's my baby: Early Club King 290 (2007), only around 12 built with the vintage burst finish, maple fretboard taken from a Buckshot, reversed control plate and different knobs, otherwise bone stock. Planned for it: a Bigsby!

Nice!!! The sunburst finish suits the guitar well as do the replacement knobs. Here's my Reverend Club King RT. I also had the controls reversed to match the layout of my Warhawk II and added a Vibramate and Bigsby kit (which has since been removed).
