I don't think we have done this in a while, and we have some new folks. What do youze guys use for amphlification? :D:beavisnbutthead::rockon::rar

Here is mine:

My first amph, and trusty old workhorse. Really all I need

Lucked into this, and it sure is nice. Looks good with the fam too.

OK, but this is getting a little out of hand, esp. for a guy who just plays for his own amusement in his "man cave":

Fender Blues Junior, modified out the ying-yang:

My original amp mod project, a used v.1 Epiphone Valve Jr. combo that I bought for $90 and have spent about $250 on doing various upgrades. Don't look for sense/reason in this exercise--it was a "learning experience." At least, that's what I keep telling myself:

The only amp I've ever built from the ground up--a little 1.5W "Firefly" DIY project amp head. It's got about as much headroom as an old VW bug, but it's fun to do a 1.5W impression of a Marshall stack with it:

An Egnater Rebel 20W head I bought used from a guy on TGP. The EL84/6V6 output tube "blend" function on this is just too cool:

The tiny-yet-amazing Mesa Boogie Transatlantic TA-15 head. The tonal flexibility of this little gem is just astonishing:

My most recent acquisition, a modified clone of the Trainwreck Rocket amp head built by musician/electronics maven Jeff Rubin. Best clean tone of any amp I have ever played through:

The infamous "he-bought-it-now-will-he-ever-build-it??" Trinity 18W TMB Marshall clone kit. Here's the cabinet....pretty!

OK, with 4 amp heads and a 5th that honest to God I'm going to build sometime soon, I need a couple of speaker cabs to play through. So....

Here's a 1x12 cabinet I bought built to order from a guy on the web who obviously used to work for Lopoline. Currently has a nice Weber VST P12Q alnico speaker in it that I got used on Craigslist:

Here's a 2x12 Drive ported cabinet that got from Music123.com when they were blowing them out for $80 & free shipping!! Unbelievable value on a very solidly made cabinet in an unfortunate (for me) color, since none of my other gear is red. I removed the two rather cheap Eminence speakers and now have it loaded with a WGS Green Beret and an Eminence Wizard. Sounds wonderful:

First up, the Night Train:

Next up, the Roland Cube 60:

Finally, the latest lovely, the Blackstar HT-5:

That's my newest cab, a Seismic Audio, under the Blackstar, loaded with two vintage AlNiCo Rola speakers.

I'll rerpost my vids for those who haven't seen my Marshall JTM45 in action :-)

Action starts around 1:05

Some live sounds:

Top Left: Tech 21 Trademark 60
Bottom Left: Tech 21 Power Engine 60
Right: Acoustic B20 bass amph

Thanks guys. Jimi, I always love those vids. That strat into marshall vid is one of my favorite sounds.

Now I am just waiting for Spudman to lay all of his out on the lawn and take a pic from the roof. We need a pic like that.

My old childhood friend - very early 80s Randall RG-50-112.

My Peavey Classic 30 with mid-90s Schecter PT.

PT_C30_004.jpg

My Soldano Astroverb.

My Mesa Boogie Maverick 2x12 (behind the balding John Petrucci wannabee)

My Soldano atop a Groove Tubes extension cabinet with a Celestion Vintage 30.

My pedal steel effects rack/amp (Real Tubes Blue Tube preamp>Sabine rack tuner>Line 6 Filter Pro>Lexicon Jam Man>80's Electra Analog Delay>Electrix MOFX>Digitech RPM-1 rotary speaker simulator>Tech 21 Power Engine 60). All of this powered by Butternut's Pork Slap Pale Ale.

Here ya go! My Jet City JCA20H with metal baffle atop the JCA12S 1x12 cab.

latest is a Fender Blues Deluxe
I just played with a guy on Wednesday who had one of those. It seemed really nice, even if it was an extreme departure from what I usually go for in tones.

We need to hear from at least a few more. Robert was on an amph buying spree there for a while too. Spud, Robert, Duffy, the rest of you? Let's see 'em!

Love the Blackstars and this model in particular. Just wish the 5 had reverb.

Since I sold my Marshall, both of my tube amphs lack reverb. The Cube 60 is the only amph I own with reverb now. Guess I should be looking for a good pedal.

The HT-5 is an awesome amp to be sure. I love the IFS (Infinite Shape Feature). Lots of tonal variety there.

And Doug, anytime you want to trade your Tweaker for the HT-5, just say the word!

Here's my amps from a while back. Since then I've sold and bought many, but the Marshball (Ceriatone) and that cab always remain.
