Just for you Robert. Strum suggested I show y'all just how much snow it takes to shut Waco down. Here's a few pics from last year.:D The first one is in my backyard, the second one in front of my office, and the third one in front of the Courthouse about a block from my office. Schools and businesses were closed. Thank God the corner store was open so I could get some beer!

Our friends up in Canada see weather like this and the first thing they probably say is "Finally, summer has arrived!!!"

I told Shiner I crack up every time I see these pics.

Good thing whoever pulled out of that parking spot had snow tires or I doubt they would have gotten out until Spring.

Wow, I am impressed. Almost enough to make half a snowball, if you collect all the snow around 3 blocks. :whatever:

You guys have to come up here in January. Really, you'll like it. :bootyshake:

Think I'll go out to Alberta
Weather's good there in the fall . . .

. . .

If I get there before the snow flies
And if things are lookin' good
You could meet me if I send you down the fare.
But, by then it would be winter
Not too much for you to do
And those winds sure can blow cold 'way out there.

That song always makes me want to go to Alberta.

Shiner, nice pics of a . . . uhhmm . . . flurry! Let's go skiing, huh?

Odd, it's not snowing here...

It'd better not, as I spent last Friday night in a tent and am spending this Friday and Saturday nights in one.

Hey, a little snow in winter makes summer that much sweeter!

This is from last Feb when my daughter and I went snowshoeing for the day through a Provincial Park that isn't too far from us.

We didn't get that much snow in Southern Ontario, so we had to go looking for it!

Snow is like Kryptonite to Floridians!!!

BTW, Its 81 and and absolutely gorgeous out today.

Maybe ill drive down to Key West this weekend for a nice Sunday getaway :Dude:

LOL!! That looks more like when I camped at Cinnamon Bay on St. John!

Actually, it was fairly cool. Hanna Park (I always misspell it, the name was someone's last name, not first) is up near Jacksonville near the northern border of Florida, so it does get cold in the winter there. Not Canada cold or Colorado cold, but it does hit freezing or below for a week to a fortnight's worth.

As you can see by the pics, it wasn't so cold that we were freezing, but the ocean was quite cold, definitely not swimmable. Jack is a little nutty when it comes to going shoeless.

This weekend it should be in the low 70's/high 60's or so in the day, and I believe the low 50's at night.

:AOK:

Perfect camping weather really.

Heh, heh, the funny thing is, that's all the snow you need in Waco to make the roads really dangerous. These idiots around here have never driven on snow and ice, so they think it's ok to race through at 70 mph, then can't understand why their brakes don't work.:reallymad:

Brrrrr!!!! My little brother who lives in Crestview (about 300+ miles to the west of you) told me it was like 39 degrees this morning!

Thats waaaaay too cold for my thinned out blood.

I love northern Fl. and if I could ever move that way I would. Of course just not in J-ville (too big a city).

Me and my wife are looking in the Gainesville area for like 10+ acres of land

Yeah it was supposed to be 37 F here inland this morning before sunrise.

I wore long pants over cargo shorts, so as it warms up I can take the long pants off and be comfy.

Should be at least 10-15 degrees warmer overnight for the weekend. 49 Friday and 56 Saturday.
