1933 - Wayne Shorter
A crucial member of Miles second great sixties quartet as well as the amazing group Weather Report in the 70's. Shorter is a tremendous sax player and is a big influence on me as far as melody goes.
1951 - Rob Halford
What can I say, I loved Judas Priest as a kid. Halford had a great voice for metal.
1954 - Elvis Costello
I love Elvis. He's a great songwriter and musician. He's worked with both Marc Ribot and Bill Frisell so he knows how to pick a guitar player for a project. I will definitely be listening to Spike at some point today.
