That guy just totally blew me out of the water. Makes me want to give up blues and go back to playing rock n' roll.

This is fantastic. Everytime I see a new video of Carl Verheyen play, I'm blown away again.

This style of playing is probably my favorite right now, this fast jump blues kind of thing. I love this stuff.

I agree Jim, this is the Holy Grail of guitar playing for me. Its the end point that i'd like to get to some day. Unfortunately I'll probably never have the time or the talent to get there.

It is inspiring though to see such fluidity and masterful command of the fret board. These guys are masters in so many styles, blues, rockabilly, country, jazz, when they jam it all comes out but in such a melodic way. Just brilliant!!

To play this good these guys must be missing a left... something!

What a delight to see. Pure synergy.

The Carl Verheyen Band release, Take One Step
is really good. Plenty of variety, and the playing is excellent.

You might want to try out Carl Verheyen's YouTube channel or his website for more videos of him solo, with the CVB, other folks and with Supertramp.

He just played with Steve Trovadao a few weeks ago in the San Diego-area, and will do so again after he returns from his Supertramp dates in November.

Incidentally, Carl did not start playing at a young age, he was about 12; but he LOVES to practice and does so daily, WITHOUT FAIL.
