Thanks for sharing this. This is some of the best blues playing that I've ever seen, I mean that. I must have missed that previous thread about Joe Bonamassa. This is the first time I've heard his playing. I'm really enjoying this a lot. I love those lines he is playing. He has that BB King and Eric Clapton thing going really well but he is taking it up several notches. Fantastic. I'm a new fan!

He was one of the first acts that I got to engineer when I was one. He was a regular in the club I worked at and played there every few months. Super nice guy. He even let me play the ol' 62 Strat before it was stolen. He gave me a few sets of his custom gauge GHS strings to try too. It's a good thing he tunes down because he uses some hefty gauge strings.
He has a sponsorship deal with GHS so it was no biggie for him to part with some sets and he goes through a new set of strings every set that he plays. That's what he does during his break. He restrings his main guitar.

Very cool man and player although I have to say that Romp was a dud in my opinion. Every other one of his records I absolutely love. The boy does tear it up when you see him live. I was lucky enough to work with him when he was going through his John McLaughlin phase. That was real interesting to hear Chris work in some of that really off the wall stuff into blues songs. We'd all just stand there with our mouths open...then when we recovered we'd pour some beer in. Great shows.
