Looks like it is part of the Vintage Modified line. Some of those are pretty nice, and seem to be up there with the CV line. Could be cool! I just don't need one is the thing.

I love the overall look but would prefer a Tele pickup at the bridge and the humbucker at the neck, Bluesboy style.

Cool! Available in candy apple red now too! One major difference is that the bridge pickup is described as "hot humbucking". The original definitely wasn't hot. The new Vintage Blonde is also way paler than the original, less banana-y than mine.

As it happens, I got my new Gotoh tuners installed on mine today. We'll have to see how much of an improvement they are.

So, is yours on order, Robert? :poke

Thank God I don't have to take the bait on this. I've still got mine. See, I just saved $280 bucks.:AOK

As I recall, the excitement got really big when they were discontinuing them and they were being sold out at- $99. or something like that, if I remember correctly.

From what I've heard, these need more work than the original run. I'm sure that's not the case with every single one, but apparently the QC on these has been a bit lackadaisical.

Found a nice 3 hole control plate at basspartsresource.com for the 51. Holes are spaced apart enough to use a full size pot for vol & tone plus a LP style 3 way selector. It's a bit longer, but if you use the existing rear screw hole the plate will cover the front mounting hole(the one closet to the pickup) and you can tap a new one. Then file the pickguard to match with the new plate.
