Stupid JB question!

Is the seymour duncan JB p/u a "Jeff Beck" pickup? And why don't they mention his name?
Are all JB pickups about the same?

I am considering swapping out my stock pickups in my dean.

FWIW I have the JB and '59 in one of mine (SH-1 and SH-4) and they make a killer combo. I've got no plans to ever change them out. I have the JB coil tapped too and it sounds OK, but I usually end up switching back to the full humbucker because it sounds so much more "full"
