Based on what I've seen and heard, I really like these channel-switching, EL34combos, such as the 50W Blue. They seem packed with features for under a grand...and made in North America.

Would you say they are about comparable to Peavey's classic amphs in terms of build quality, tone and features??

I had a YCV40 in the Red tolex. Not the Wine Red, a bright red. I don't know what it was about it but it just never sounded good. I got it second hand and I tried to trade it on another amp but the guy said he had two already.
I know the 50 Watt blue has the Alnico blue speaker in it and I never really got to hear that one.
Well made though and a great Canadian name Yorkville Sound.
The Red just sounded shrill and harsh. 6L6s compared to EL34s might make a difference.
