All things funk belong here.:AOK:

I've had the pleasure of working with many good funk bands and it is just bloody infectious music. It's fun to play, gets your booty shakin' and everyone has a good time.

I thought I'd start with a classic: Was Not Was - Walk The Dinosaur

oh man spud....that song brings back memories....of course a lot of those memories are a little hazy!

My favorite funk song, "Stomp" by Brothers Johnson

And get out your whistles for the Gap Band's "You Dropped a Bomb on Me":

How the heck could I forget "I'm Rick James, b!tch!"

One of the funkiest tunes around. A little Herbie Hancock.

By the way if anyone could tell me how to embed a youtube video I'd appreciate it.

There is a little youtube button top right on the posting window. Click on it and it will put the youtube code tags in the posting window. Only copy the letter/number string in the youtube URL after the = sign and paste it between the youtube code tags.

speaking of herbie... we HAVE to speak of his tune Chameleon, the funkiest funk of them all...

I've been lucky enough to work with these guys a few times. Talk about a party! Hyperfunk.

Did you notice the funny fender guitar that Léo Nocentelli is playing ? A Fender Starcaster very rare few copies only were made in the late 70's

Was Not Was... that's freaky coincidence! I've been chanting that to my daughter for the past two weeks in a effort to get her to walk the 'dog'

Boom boom lacka lacka lacka boom!
