The Pimped Strat is Complete!

Before:

A plain Jane American Deluxe with gutless and sterile sounding Vintage Noiseless pickups



After:

New pickguard, knobs with abalone inlays, jack plate; Seymour Duncan Custom Custom, SSL3 Hot's, 250k pots and new caps, Wilkinson trem, black Schaller strap locks.

I still need to fine tune the trem setup and the pickup heights, but what a difference! The new pickups sound sweet and it's like an entirely new axe!

I'm pretty happy with the results. This is the first Strat that I've basically stripped down and rebuilt.......................and I got lucky and chose the right pickups on a leap of faith!

First impressions:

I would say about the same as the Texas (that's "tay- hoss" to you ) Specials - but with a clearer high end bite. Keep in mind that I'm not even close to dialing in the pickup heights or getting used to the EQ.

I can be more objective after I get this beast tamed.
