Before:

A plain Jane American Deluxe with gutless and sterile sounding Vintage Noiseless pickups

After:

New pickguard, knobs with abalone inlays, jack plate; Seymour Duncan Custom Custom, SSL3 Hot's, 250k pots and new caps, Wilkinson trem, black Schaller strap locks.

I still need to fine tune the trem setup and the pickup heights, but what a difference! :D The new pickups sound sweet and it's like an entirely new axe!

Looks good, the pick guard, knobs and jack plate certainly change up the look. Nice choices.

Thanks!

I'm pretty happy with the results. This is the first Strat that I've basically stripped down and rebuilt.......................and I got lucky and chose the right pickups on a leap of faith! :D

Very nice spanky.. pimpitorious indeed , how hot are those ssl3's compared to say texas specials ?

First impressions:

I would say about the same as the Texas (that's "tay- hoss" to you :D ) Specials - but with a clearer high end bite. Keep in mind that I'm not even close to dialing in the pickup heights or getting used to the EQ.

I can be more objective after I get this beast tamed.

Lookin' mighty snazzy there, Spanky! I like the contrast added by the black p'up covers & the gold hardware. If it sounds as good as it looks, you got a winner there....

whats the tay-hoss reference all about?

A friend of mine says it all of time when he mentions Texas. I hear it often enough that I say it also.

That, and my sense of humor is a tad skewed..........:)
