better than tweezers:Just pour a drop of Elmer's Glue-All over the splinter, let dry, and peel the dried glue off the skin. The splinter sticks to the dried glue.warren0728 said:i've got a load of laundry in right now and have been trying (unsuccesfully) to get a splinter out of my daughters foot (it is below the skin and going straight in...not horizontally)....gonna go get some smaller tweasers at the pharmacy and try again...![]()

you don't think it wil it will work? in other words you haven't tried itwarren0728 said:yep...it's below the skin and all you can see is the top (just a little dot) so i don't think the glue trick will work either....we have tried everything....just bought special tweezers, magnifying glass, hydrogen peroxide (to try and bubble it loose), etc. and i still couldn't get it out....i think we are going to have to wait till the body starts pushing it out on its own....that has been recommended by a couple of people....if that doesn't work i guess a trip to the doc will be in order....joy.... :thwap:

not sure which method you are referring to....i did not try the glue because the splinter is way below the skin level and just the "head" (the size of a pin) is showing....it looks better today....i think it is working its way out and i don't think it is very long....player said:you don't think it wil it will work? in other words you haven't tried itif you can see it. it should otherwise guess sawbones is in order
someone years ago said Mercurochrome works too but try and find any.
