Tot, my unit is very quiet even when using the recto at full gain/VR/master if I disconnect the tele cable. Might be a bad tube. Did you also get a electro harmonix?

Yeah SS, I think it is a bad tube. Yes it is an EH. I'm exchanging the TL for a new one.
