What a great sounding little amp. I was floored by the OD tone, very fat and full sounding even at low volumes. I didn't get a chance to crank it up really loud, though. The schematic shows that the input is a TL0-72 opamp as the first two gain stages. Then a 12AX7 as the next two gain stages giving a total of four. The output is a single ended EL84 section. Lots of gain on tap. The sound doesn't start to come up until 3 or so on the dial. Odd.
The clean sound was adequate, nothing special but good, warm and tubey.
It had a decent 10" Celestion branded speaker in it.
It was used with a price tag of $109, but I didn't buy it. The one thing that struck me was how shoddy the construction was. There was a 1/4" gap between the top of the control panel and the underside of the cabinet where the control panel cut out is. This really bugged me. I can't stand shoddy construction, I don't care how good of a deal it is. OTOH, the cabinet seemed solid enough.
