The 6V6 in my Champion 600 would rattle at volume on certain notes, so I picked up a set of these tube dampeners:

Well actually, I picked up the medium size which fit 6V6s.

10 bucks well spent.

I haven't heard a rattle since then (about a month).

Cool idea.
At the moment, I am having my amp re-tubed and the bias adjusted. The 6L6's would sometimes produce an odd vibrating hum, which would stop if I put slight pressure on the tubes. If it happens again, I'll try your $10 solution.

I'm not positive but I think the same items can be found at your local implement dealer. Go to a John Deere or Case, etc dealership and ask to have a look t the o-ring selection they have. Tell them you need them for high heat applications. You'll probably spend 2 dollars total.

When I purchased my Pro Jr it would rattle tubes so much it would actually break tube I replace the retainer on the EL-84 and put dampeners on them no problem since
