Hi folks,

Pick out the good ones and post them here.

I'll make a start with Richie Kotzen's take on "All Along The Watchtower":

That was cool Jimi. I love the way Kotzen sings.

How about Gary Moore's Red House -

There you get the best guitar face in the world as part of admission too... :rotflmao: :master:

Does anyone know what gear he was using? The guitar was his '62 Strat I believe. That's a wicked tone he has there.

The Gary Moore Wembley Red House is a georgeous version!!! Great pick Robert.

I've always liked this one, mainly because it's so unexpected: Yngwie's version of "Spanish Castle Magic"

Great cover by Gary Moore. Forget learning how to play better, I gotta learn how to make faces better...

In case there was any doubt as to where my loyalties lie...

Here's one from the Austin City Limits show that has great sound quality.
His best performance of it was at Carnegie Hall, from "The Essential Stevie Ray Vaughan And Double Trouble" album, but there's no video of it.

Back Door Slam: Red House

I can't find a video that has the great sound quality of their live Red House cover that is on their EP, which is the best recording they've ever made.

So, we'll have to get by with this video, just to showcase Davie Knowles incredible talent. This kid has a bright future. His playing here isn't nearly as good as the EP's, and it gets cut off too early. Find a download of it... you'll love it!

Marnold I never heard of the unknown Hinson before,he's pretty good and quite the showman too!!!for a Vampire!!! Sumi:D

I know people have their opinions on mayer, but he's covered a few jimi songs pretty well.

Bold As Love - Feel free to skip the little pep talk in the middle about love. It starts at 3:30 and ends at 5:30.

Wait Until Tomorrow

Gil Evans played a great Hendrix tribute concerts shortly after Jimi's death. His version Angel is beautiful. There is only one video on youtube of Gypsy Eyes. I think the orchestrated version is opretty cool.

Neil absolutely tearing up All Along the Watchtower.

Pretty good backing band, too. I recognize Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn.
