Hi everyone this is my first post.
I recently picked up a new (floor stock) Legacy (epiphone) valve special for $200 AUS
. This is my first valve amp and while it sounds quite nice i do love a bit of a tinker and would like to get the best out of it. I have been thinking of upgrading to a 12inch speaker, replacing valves and taking the dsp effects out of the circuit as they apparently get quite greedy with the tone. I am relatively new to the whole guitar thing and therefore am looking for some informed opinions. Keeping in mind i am a relatively poor student what valves and speaker should i use? is there anyone who has removed the dsp from the circuit? is there anything else i should be looking into?
Anyway any help would be awesome
