wah problem

ok, my buddy just got in his zakk wylde wah pedal and it was wording great for a while like a day, well it still works great but it wont shut off like so it will bypass, is there any quik fix or something? what could be the problem.?

Sounds like a bad stomp switch. He should exchange it. No excuse for this in a new pedal, especially an expensive one like the ZW wah....
