I've been shopping for a Squier Hello Kitty strat for a while, just for the sheer irony of it all. I thought playing it in any semi-real context would just be too good for words. I finally snagged one on ebay with the help of a sniping service and had it shipped to my wife's office, since a lot of people ship with sig required and what not. Well, yesterday I got word that it had arrived, so I was pretty pumped to be able to play with it this weekend. I was already making modding plans to make it into something usable in a public setting.
I fought traffic and picked it up today, brought it home, opened up the box, and instead of this
there was this
Huh. So I looked up the price on the Schecter, and it's definitely worth more than the Squier. If I play dumb and/or don't cooperate, I could probably keep it and sell it to someone for a decent profit. However, if I keep it, it's definitely going up for sale. I played it a bit, and while nice, it's just too metal for me. It would be a real stretch to use this for my typical guitar playing.
So there. What do you guys think? Any input on what my next action(s) should be?
