What Effect??

but..

Today while home alone i blasted Red Hot Chili Pepper's Live at Slane Castle (AMAZING show) and eventually they got to playing throw away your television. Which leads me to the question. Do any of you know what effect John Frusciante uses on that one part (listen to the song, you'll know what part i mean)? Some say its some setting on a ring mod, but i'm not sure. I'm 90% sure its something on his Line 6 FM4, but yea...

anyone know?

That's a Seek Wah. Zvex makes it and Line 6 has in their Filter pedals and modules.
