I've seen lots of Jan Akkerman vids, but this is a new one on me.
Guys got skills, and a killer rhythm section!

You're right, the rhythm section just slays on this tune. I love this kind of funky, rocky, jazzy, instrumental stuff.

Jan's been around for ever. Focus and the tune Hocus Pocus were an early Prog sensation.

This is his current manifestation (check out the mini rotary wave on his stack, same make as my mini amp!) get into it 2 -3 minutes before you let it go...

I've never seen a guitarist approach playing like that. His thumb strum is a bass technique that I've never seen done on guitar. What a fantastic and innovative player!
