Hello everyone, this is my first post. I own standard a Strat and Tele
When doing a setup from the beginning, Which should be done first? String height or neck releif? Thank you

Hi and welcome. Southsidetele.

Get the action mostly right, then the relief, then you may have to readjust the action a little but probably not. Tweak a bit at a time, no more than a 1/8 turn on the truss rod at a time (unless it's way out) and leave it to settle for a few hours at least, overnight is better. A couple of days is better still. If you're fixing back bow you may want to push the neck forward to help it along as you adjust.

Having said all that, Fender factory setups aren't at all bad. They tend to set the pickups a little high and they will insist on setting nearly all their guitars up for 9s but that's pretty good to go for most string sets. I've not had to do more than a small truss rod tweak and maybe a slight intonation adjustment when restringing new Fenders with 10s.

Thanks for the advise. What you described is exactly what I had planned..going from 9's to 10's.
I'll post how it turns out Thank you
