Wilco: The Whole Love

It's Wilco time again. Listened to it a couple time yesterday and it has some very good bits along with a few narrow misses. It opens up like it will be a sonic adventure with the opening, Art of Almost and I Might. After this however, things go a bit more straightforward for the most part. A bit of Beatle channeling here and there and for the most part everything comes together well enough in the end. Perhaps the grade will rise a little after a few more listens but for now, a firm "B" grade. (My grading system is relative to the artist I'm grading so a "B" from Wilco is better than 98% of what's out there :thumbsup).

Where is it streaming from? I think the official release is Sept. 27.

I have not heard any yet, but really liked the last release. I was getting a little Beatle channeling in that one too. I really like nels and his work and respect Tweedy more and more.

This little acoustic number he did recently impressed me.
