I got my xv600 today !
there have been some reviews already so I won't go over all the details again.

The guitar shipped with the truss rod loosened and the strings were set really high with foam between the strings and fretboard. I was a little worried that I might have problems .

after setting the truss rod ,string height and intonation ...WoW! I managed to get the action very low without buzz.

..plays very well , I like the neck. the p-90 pickups are suprisingly good also.
I compared it to annother p-90 equipped and these p-90s are pretty hot.

No problems with the tuners no sticking or binding.
the finish is good no blemishes that I can see, including around the f hole.

the graphite nut seems to be cut properly, I'm going to change to 10's so I will probably do a little tweaking with the slots.

I knocked the glaze off the neck with some wet dry sandpaper, it was so glossy and smooth it was just a touch too grabby for me.

the knobs seem to be of decient quality, but I find myself hitting the toggle switch a little too easy. mabey I can change the tip to a more low profile.

the case is nice and solid, should do the job.

the neck joint is very well done with minimal gap, overall the guitar sounds great. ! I got the surf green model.

I'll have to get my tripod out, I can't seem to be still enough to take a photo!
also for some odd reason, the guitar comes out light blue in all the photos?

the last photo is more like the actual color...strange

Congratulations! You remind me that I still need to replace the XV600 I sold back in June (I want a candy apple red one). Those are great guitars all round.

one thing I'm working on is changing out the saddle height set screws.

once I set the string height to a nice level the set screws protrude 1/8" above the saddle.(see last pic) I can feel them sometimes when playing and definately when palm muting. I just need to email xaviere and verify the thread pitch , I'm guessing 3.0 mm.

more than anything...I love the way this puppy sings

Nice! I have the "strat" model and really like it. Really good bang for your buck guitars!:AOK:

Lookin' good, indeed. I agree--these Xaviere guitars are great values. Love my surf green XV870! :AOK: :dude:

Nice

Beautiful guitar. I have been looking at them.

One hint for taking great pictures: go outside on a sunny day and take the picture without the flash in natural strong sunlight, set it up without glare. This will give you a picture that most resembles the natural colors. Artificial lights, flashes, etc., change the aparent color of things. There is no better lighting than natural sunlight.

I'm waiting to take some pics of some of my guitars in some nice sunlight on my deck. Maybe tomorrow. They just look awesome.

Notice in your pictures where the natural light is coming thru the window and hitting part of the guitar and it looks a different color? There is a big difference. Just angle it from the direct light of the sun so you don't get glare and you might be happy.

Hope this helps,

Duffy
