Hi, my name is Joe and I love my guitars. Pretty straightforeward. I recently just bought a gibson sg with a broken headstock, fixed it upwith some loctite sumo glue and two screws, and BOOM i have a hell-uv-a guitar now. And I took a squire strat from 96 that had busted electronics with a dull sound, put a new fender-certified neck on from Stew-mac, added a destroyer from seymour duncan(not the greatest pickup but works well in the bridge for a tight, bold sound) and now i have a strat that works for the time being. Also, just got a mid-eighties Randall head (100es) that pretty much destroys all the other amps I own(an epi valve junior with some new resistors and the crate power block). Also use an epi les paul standard and an electric-acoustic mitchell I picked up at a pawn shop. Pretty proud of the junk I have as it reflects me well as a player. Love SRV, love heavy stuff, love the beatles, love weird al, love it all. Any comments will only help me, so shoot em up!

this is a pretty sweet forum to be truthful. Alot of stuff to learn, as music is limitless and the last forum i was a part of was only focused on stuff rather than playing the actual stuff; drove me nuts so i left it.

Welcome to TheFret, Joe!
Hey, it sounds like you're learning to fix guitars as you learn to play them.
What's that Randall amph like, I'm not familiar with that model.

Welcome to the gang!!! Sounds like you've got a bunch of nice guitars, that you've put lot of yourself into. Good on ya!! :bravo:

actually the cab of the head is ripped apart, the front tolex is white with no randall logo on the front. Also, looks like some little kids drew on the front with some crayons, but it looks badass. Anyways, its an old one before the company was bought out by Washburn. The heads the new company made suck compared to the older ones. Their fricken relics, if you ever see one and are able to get it for a good price, its worth its wieght in gold. The tone is just like the 80's JCM800's on purpose. You pull out the treble knob(push/pull) and it rips it into a metal tone but it cuts volume; I use a few distortion pedals in front and boom, the amp is a metal machine. Sounds great without pedals too- sounds just like angus young's signature tone. Anybody have any ideas on pedal power? I know the one spot is great but i heard it breaks after a year, any suggestions? Thanks alot- You guys rule!
