Interesting article. That writer sure likes the word "fluid." He also invented a brand new word, "seducted" as in

that article said:
"...Zappa would be seducted by the light and comfortable body of the Gibson SG."

Still, there was a lot of good info in there.
 
there's a grand Funk song called "out to get you " that Zappa rips it up on.
one of my more fav GFR albums to boot!

I like fluid better than "creamy" , I'm so burnt out on everything being > creamy.it's used to describe just about everything!
 
Interesting to know he used Marshalls as well. I had always seen him in photos with Carvins (or was that a contract he had with Carvin?). FZ has this sound where when he stops playing there is a woosh/rumble sound just after. IT7s also noticeable on Steve Vai's Flexable album. I'd always attributed it to Carvin amps.
