Anybody fix their own microwave?

My microwave just quit heating. I used a lower heat setting and some water actually did get warm, but on High I get nothing. My guess is that it's either the diode or magnetron. Have any of you replaced either on your own?

I'd advise not messing with it unless you like the q-ball look.
The good news is you'll never need a flashlight again!

replaced Magnatrons on some industrial equipment I used to work on, but never in an oven
