I went for a bike ride today. It's definitely warmer but there is still plenty of snow on the ground here just waiting for a good heavy rain so we can have some nice spring flooding...which I like even more than winter. :thwap:

I can't see your link, but I LOVE winter. I love big fatty snow storms and lots of them. I am depressed that spring is starting to come on and melt our great snow year. But it is Idaho, we'll get some winter back yet!

Winter is relic of my childhood - due to climatic changes we have no winter anymore. I miss it in a way, especially now that I am father my own and can not play in the snow with my kids.

Snow's cool in the mountains and at home sometimes. It's the frigid artic air on cold clear nights that I don't like (thanks a lot Robert for sending your northern cold blasts our way!)

Jimi, I am so sorry to hear that. I worry about the European mountain resorts, and hope I can make a trip on a good winter soon, to see it before it goes. I hope we can turn it around, or at least stop the decline.

Right here, now though, it is SNOWING!! Savor every snowflake!

I like winter just fine...my favorite time of year....

It's interesting that while some areas are having a mild winter, other areas are having record setting cold. Here in some of the northern tier states and Canada, and in Siberia, Mongolia, and China. China reported the worst winter in 99 years just recently. Oh, and the melting Arctic ice pack? It's back again and thicker than this time last year. Same for Antarctica.

Here in Florida we're having a warmer than usual winter.

Winter (snow) at Christmas and the morning after a nice coating of snow makes it worth the down side. Don't care for the drive, don't care for the cold. It's the price I pay for liking the changing of seasons. You don't have red, yellow and orange leaves without the cold.

Yep, it's that time of the year. What I don't find, the lawn tractor tires will locate in about a month.
