I tried my headphones on my new pocket pod and I noticed the same problem I had with my zoom g1. I cannot hear my vibratoes (like bb king) on the guitar. Is that inherent or I got a cheapie set?

What I got was a $20 sony dynamic stereo headphones model mdr-v150.

I know nothing about headphones so enlighten me.

What's your favs and how much?

Thnx.

Sony MDR 7506 industry standard. Less than a Benjamin. You'll hear things you've never heard before.

These cannot be beat for the money:

Check out the SR80. If you have the means or deem the addition features a plus, try the SR125.

Wow, good headphones almost cost as much as my pocket pod. :)

The key word is "good." You'll hear things you've never heard before and you want something that you can live in for long periods. Comfy is paramount but so is sound quality. You really get a great set of cans for $100 or less these days.

These will surprise you with their frequency response and dynamic range performance, two critical factors in accurate sonic detail. They're light, have 1/4" plugs so you don't need to invite signal loss with an adapter, unless you use them with most portable stuff with 1/8" jacks, and being closed-ear, you don't have to listen to your wife or roomate or neighbors nagging you to "turn that crap down." Like all Behringer stuff, they pack bang-for-the-buck and stretch your budget. List price is $35US, $45CN, so for $25-$35 each, for that c-note investment you can afford multiple sets...guitar amp(s), recording rig, home stereo...consistent monitoring.

The Grado SR-60's are indeed great rock cans, but I wouldn't call them comfy.

i mainly use a 30 dollar pair from radio shack it doesnt give me to many problems

What is it about my headphones that I can't hear the bends or vibratoes? On the bends it sounded like latency problems. I'm aware what I have may be junk and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to look for in headphones. I'm still open for suggestions and still researching.
