It's little more than a nice $1000 guitar.
I'm much more inclined to get an ebony necked and chambered Agile for $400 than pay $1000, not to mention 7Gs.

My guess is that Joe could make that aforementioned $400 Agile sound very nearly as good. Gorgeous guitar, nonetheless....

Blaze: Where did you get your copy of the DVD? I have one on order from Amazon and they weren't released in Canada until Oct. 6. As far as the Gibson goes I purchased one of the last Gold Top Classics and it is a lovely guitar. I guess I could swap in a BB2, and 3 and get a couple of gold knobs and viola! I bet the higher cost for the Bonamassa model is the special truss rod cover, with "Bonamassa" on it. Mine was only 1900 Can. and worth every nickel.

A friend of mine came home with this DvD 3 days ago ,i don t know where and how he got it ,did nt ask anyway..But i had enjoyed it for sure..

I guess you could find a truss rod cover and change these knobs to get you re Bonamassa signature ..

Joe also played this Flametop Bigsby model at the London concert.???.$$$$$$???

Personally I am not a fan of Bigsby tremelo, and I like a plain top rather than a flame top. I will have to wait a couple of weeks for my copy, but I am sure it will be great.
As for the Truss rod cover I was joking how they put it in the description, as if a 3 dollar piece of plastic will make a difference. Also he copied the different knob thing from Peter Green's/Gary Moore's Les Paul.
I really think that the signature models are way overpriced, and that you can get pretty close with the Standard Goldtop. At about half the price.

Yeah, that one really caught my eye, both on the DVD and when I saw him last Feb. I thought that was the most gorgeous of all the gorgeous guitars he played! :drool:

Hey, that second clip is from the show I was at--Feb.28 in Syracuse NY.

Per a post by Joe on his website forum, that guitar is a '58 Historic LP that was modified with the black p/g and the Bigsby.

Old Black is the baddest guitar on the planet! And the guy in the hat driving it isn't too shabby either.
I was lucky to have that guitar's headstock nearly in my eyeball many years ago at a show.

Old Black started life as a 1953 Gold top. It was a P90 guitar that still has the original P90 in the neck position with a metal cover. The bridge position was changed to a Gretch pickup then to a mini humbucker. The guitar was roughly painted black over the gold. It was traded for by Neil back in the days of Buffalo Springfield and was either owned by Joe Messina, or Stephen Stills. The Bigsby was also added and an aluminum pickguard. She has been beaten to death but still gives him his "tone".

That flametop Bigsby was one of my favorites at the Trails West! festival in St. Joseph, MO. I got one nice shot of Joe looking over his shades at the bass player in the middle of a solo. Click for larger image.
