I have an unusual chance to pick up a slightly used Vox V100H amp head for 150 dollars. It sits at my house waiting for me to go get my Crate V50 after it gets a conventional power supply or OT put in it under warranty.
The dude decided to get a Crate solid state head because of less road problems gigging.
Anyone have experience with these or think this is a good deal.
Right now the fan doesn't work and he is getting it fixed under warranty even though it will be mine when fixed.
Any observations on this or thoughts about the fan failure?
The fact that it is under warranty eliminates the need to pay to get it fixed and I get it at what I think is a great price for a mint 50/100 watt switchable amp with lots of other tweaking options and two eq sections for the clean and drive plus presence and boost, etc.
Ideas appreciated. Even conjecture.
