The discussion about trucks that Mark and Warren had was interesting. I figure since we all have our ways of transportation whether it's the daily vanilla vehicle that gets us to work or a dream vehicle that we had, have, or want here is where you can tell us about your transportation. Tell us/show us your car, truck, bicycle, motorcycle - whatever it is that is a hobby, your daily transportation, or that dream of the future.

I have 2 Camry's, 2 Corolla's and 1 Highlander - those are my vanilla cars.

I had four Mercedes (not all at one time) and the last one I sold a couple of years ago. 1972 280SE Sedan 61,347 miles.

At the moment, no dream car in mind.

Used to have a 67 Ford p/u long time ago while in HS/college. That was a father son project with my Dad when I turned 15. Notable also was my 87 5.0 Mustang I bought as a wreck in 88 with 24,000 km... another project. That was a great car. 2007 DODGE Dakota I bought last year, as I have a co.car it only gets driven nights and weekends, it just turned 7000 km. I've had a gaggle of motorcycles, 920 Virago, 1100 Shadow, Kawi ZR7 and the last one was a Kawi Concours. Gave up bikes after damn near getting flattened while sitting at a red light when some ******* punk kid turned left in front of another guy at my 10 o'clock. Bike went down after I bailed to get clear.
Current project on the go (will it ever end !?) 68 Ford Torino GT. It's taking too long and I am loosing interest. It's taking up space at my fathers welding shop and he is itching to get his '28 Model A in for a Rat rod do-over.
Wifey drives a leased Escape (never lease again!) but when it's up we're thinking Nissan Altima coupe.

Looks like you also have a little bit of car running through you veins. I drive an Altima a lot when I go up to Canada. I always request them when I phone in my reservation, they're a nice car.

+1,000 on the leasing comment - never again (the Highlander is a lease).

Here is some pics of my Peugeot 307sw... I really dig the large glass roof! :)

And a pic of my scooter.

Nice vehicles. I've never seen that Peugeot before, not sure if it is available in the states with the glass top. Peugeot's aren't real popular in this area of the country, although I use to work with a guy that swore by the car.

Scooters are rapidly becoming more popular around here as the price of gas continues to climb.

I have nothing but good things to say about Peugeot. Its a really nice car and it doesnt use too much gas.

My scooter is awesome, it can drive a mile on a tablespoon of gas. Its no speed demon but it takes me from home to work relatively cheap (better than sitting in traffic jams with the car).

I currently have a 2007 Sasturn Vue with the Honda 250 horse notor.
I have owned 3 69 Z/28 Camaros and currently own a 68 Camaro coupe.
I will post pics of the Camaros.

Oh yea I forgot my Corvette.

This one I sold in 2003, it had only 30,000 miles.

This is my current 68.

I guess I only have a shot of the engine in my first 69 Z.

Swede, that scooter must be an absolute hoot, just wring that puppy and point it in the right direction !

Yes and you can see where I got my sign on name. I purchased the first one right out of college in 69. I was always a gear head over the years even though I worked as an accountant! My hobby is restoration and I have been in it for 40 years. When I am cruising down the road in my 68, all is well with the universe!

ZMAN, those are some really nice Camaros and I really like the one you have now and the black one is nice, oh hell, they're all nice. I'm not a big Vette fan, except for the late 50's early, early 60's.

I can't make out the tag, but is the current one have a 327? I had a 63 Chevy Impala with a 327 Holley 4 barrel. It was a wagon, but it could kick some butt even being stock.

As a younger guy I always wanted a Camaro or GTO. Your Camaro's are some of the nicer ones I've seen.

Edit: To clarify the last statement - As a younger guy I wanted one and today I would love to have one.

Absolutely, and it zooms around with a maximum speed of 35 mph (!) :D

Cool, the only GAS you have to concern yourself with is the one that adds to your forum signature.

Edit: we have a canal that has a bike path and runs up to Lake Erie - where you are standing looks like a section of it - are you in Ohio?

No, that's in London, UK on the river Lea towpath about three miles from where I used to live. I'm in New Zealand now and flat trails like this are a distant memory. I do have a car too, it's a '99 Mitsubishi Dingo.

I enjoy the old tow paths - we have one here that is being restored to the point that you can ride bikes and use walking paths through most sections of the canal route.

Here's a little info if you like this sort of thing:

I use to have a 70 Chevy Nova SS that was my first car, then a 69 Camaro and moved to a 72 El Camino 396 that was a mean machine, then came my 76 Chevelle SS after that it became family cars and a Suzuki that I wish was back with me now.
I was young and stupid.

my 54 ford truck was my first car.....bought it for 300 bucks when i was 14 and my dad and i restored it....by the time i was 16 it was ready to go and was my daily driver through high school....when i went to college i gave it to my dad and i got it back many, many years ago....if my son behaves himself he will get it....of course he's only 11 so i will have it for many years still....he has to finish college before he gets it!

during college my favorite car was a 1971 datsun 240z....man that was a fun car!

Currently, 1971 Alfa Romeo Berlina, 92 Toyota Previa Minivan, and 99 Suburban used pretty much to pull the boat, and for big trips when we need the hauling power or room. I ride my bike a lot of places, and skateboard to the bank and the post office from my office when weather allows.

i have been looking for a nice used car for the last couple of months and found one last week....i am getting a 2005 dodge magnum all wheel drive.....plenty of room for the kids....isn't a minivan :AOK: .....and has lots of room in the back for my photography gear if i have to go on a photo shoot or for camping gear, etc.

had a mechanic go over it from a-z and he said he would buy it if it were him....so i feel pretty good about getting it....it was a lease vehicle...

i hope to pick it up tomorrow....will take some pics when i get it....

Details man, details! Whatcha got hooked up behind the Suburban?

'88 Seaswirl 17.5 foot open bow outboard with a 120 oil injected Johnson. Always nice to have a big Johnson. ;)

I am a water skier from way back, and on puget sound, the salt water where i grew up, one did one's boating behind an outboard. Preferably OMC, and not a Merc. Merc's were ok for lakes. At least those were the prejudices of the day. The boat followed us over here into Idaho and I still ski some, and pull the kids in the tube, etc. You, as a canoeist, would probably hate us, but I have always tried to be considerate of other water users. :AOK:
