The boat followed us over here into Idaho and I still ski some, and pull the kids in the tube, etc.

That has to look strange going down those snow hills, even stranger pulling it back up. One or two trips and you have to be done for the day.

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

i started water skiing when i was 5...and here in florida it was in fresh water lakes with a merc!....went skiing again a year or so ago (hadn't been since college) and i could barely walk the next day! :thwap:

Thanks guys. Yes she is a dream to drive, especially up here in Vermont. The perfect kind of roads - lots of hills and curves that never seem to stop.

VT 12 between Northfield and Randolph is just a great drive. Of course VT 100 and VT 7 are really nice - lots of great views along with the curves.

A Miata just brings smiles to the driver and to the passenger and waves from other Miata drivers.

The only bad thing about a Miata in VT is that she's off the road for the winter and mud season - I'm not going to abuse her by driving her in snow, ice, mud, etc.

The picture was taken back in August of 2001 - I had followed my daughter who was in the Taurus - we had followed the truck and trailer that had her Morgan horse that was being moved from one farm to another. That's where all of the dust came from - a long mile of a dusty dirt country road.

Here she is last May in the driveway before getting a good wash and wax.

Just Strum: Yes it is a 327 four barrell with an automatic. I had 3 Z/28 four speeds and I wanted a cruiser. They others were all show cars and too expensive to risk driving. I sold them all and now I have one I can work on and drive anywhere I want. I have done a bunch of modern upgrades includiing suspension and modern aftermarket disc brakes. I recently tore the complet back end off and put new frame rails and complete trunk area.
Using the original weld points. It is now all done and you can see the finished product.

My Daily Driver is...

... a 1986 Toyota Pickup 4x4. 350,000 KM (about 220,000 miles) on her and she doesn't burn any oil. 4-wheel comes in handy during our winters. Fun little truck, almost impossible to get stuck. Cheap to run. I can go about a month on a tank of gas just putting to work and back and around town.

I was going to take a picture, but I'm afraid the flash will corrode even more "metal" off of the fenders (they are barely hanging on as it is) :D The box went years ago and was replaced by a build-yer-own by a welder buddy of mine.

"The Man" won't let me carry a gun in the gun-rack, but it's paid for :AOK:

As my 2000 Honda Civic is to the world of cars, so my mid-90s Schwinn Prelude is to the world of bicycles. Sturdy, dependable, not fast or flashy at all, but it gets the job done and it will last forever. With gas prices getting ever higher, the bike is getting a lot more use these days.

Love the older MBs! That's a real nice looking one there.

We currently have two of them:

1983 240D, which is our project car. We converted it to run on vegetable oil. Now that we have it pretty mechanically sound, we'll work on the body.

We liked the diesel Benz so much, we got another one for regular driving around -- a 1987 300D Turbo. It moves a lot like a gasser with its six cylinders, and still gets good fuel mileage. We probably won't convert it, but can run it on the bio-diesel we brew in our workshop.

Our third diesel is a little larger -- a 1999 International 4700 22-foot box truck. We use it to move farm goods to market.

No pictures right now, but we also run a 1987 Chevrolet 14 foot box truck, a 2002 Dodge Quad-cab pickup truck that's handy for moving smaller cargo and plowing snow, and a 1990 Saab 900 that is currently off the road and may be for sale. They're all gassers, though. The final gasser we have (circa 1962), I'll let my son ride it, but not Dreadman (or is that Shiner -- I was so flummoxed by Nekid Tractor Dude, I forgot) . . . :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I drive an '08 Chevrolet, Silverado Z-71. It's a great vehicle, but my all time favorite was my '07 Chevrolet, Silverado 2500HD with a Duramax diesel. I miss the Duramax's 650 lbs. ft. of torque. That truck was fast.

Hey Warren, did you say earlier that the Magnum was AWD ? if so, do you know what platform it is built off ?

Here is a link to photos of my Alfa, my main car, as taken by the gent who sold it to me.

http://gallery.mac.com/sunvalleylaw#100024

The car looks much the same at this point, but has one crack that spread across the dash (typical, and I have an excellent replacement dash in storage.), and the paint is a bit worse for wear, as I do drive it. The floor carpeting is still in need of repair and is a bit worse too. I hope to do some cosmetic and suspension upgrades this year, and install a pertronix electronic ignition that fits in a bosch distributor housing.

No trailer queen, this car. It likes to drive. It looks much the same, as I said, and now had a 2 litre with side by side twin Dellorto 40s with a euro airbox complete with horn, instead of the stock 1750 with mechanical fuel injection. The 2 litre, with it's greater torque is better for up here in the mountains and the carbs because I am a ways from alfa mechanical injection experts. It drives great on mountain roads, and makes me smile! I installed rear shoulder harnesses into the stock mounting plates, and the kids love it!

Until recently, this was my winter ride, and in summer for camping and boating. It was replaced by the Suburban I mention above. My wife drives the '93 Toyota Previa.
