I dunno if the defies or confirms my preconceptions about North Korea. Child prodigies seem to be held up to the spotlight in places like that as a shining beacon of propaganda for the people and the rest of the world.

North Korea is at the top of my list for places to visit actually, I think it'd be fascinating.

Anyway, one thing is beyond speculation, that kid can play!

Since we rarely see this kind of stuff from them I'd say it's more of a basic success story, not to say The Man there wouldn't take advantage at any chance, but she seems to truly enjoy her art. We can only hope for the best.
