I have to hand it to your bassist for managing to sing and play at the same time. I can sing and play guitar a little bit (if the guitar part is stupid easy), but singing while playing bass...whew.

If Geddy Lee can do it AND 100 other things at the same time... 
Yeah, I don't know how he does it. He only developed that ability because I absolutely could not sing and play at the same time so we had to have someone sing and he managed to step up. And he's getting better and better. He doesn't want to sing though and is extremely encouraging to me to continue to work on it and try it. I actually think I had a pretty good run with Sublime's "What I got" just before that song although we didn't record it. That's 2 chords, D and G.
He's got a hell of an ear though and is just a hell of a guy. We work at the same company too. In fact all 3 of us used to but the drummer left last year.
