I keep breaking the b-string (& only the b-string) on my Godin SD.
Last night I took off the saddle & noticed a knife-edge slit at the point where the string comes up from the body (not where it crosses over the actual saddle).
I tried sanding it with wet 150 grit sandpaper & 000 stell wool. I hope it works.
I may need to buy new saddles, but I don't know if any standard saddles will fit. What do I need to measure?
The SD is stratlike, but with a 12" radius and Gibson (24 3/4") scale if that matters.
