Ok, so here's the deal. I built a guitar about 2 years ago. After I finish my exams in about two weeks, though, I'll have some free time, so I was thinking of doing something cool. First, i was gonna put a fender strat pickup in the bridge position, and tweak the bridge a bit, but then i want to do something awesome. That's where you guys come in...

Any ideas for something awesome? I wanna build something into it (i was thinking a built-in whammy, but i dont think that's too doable), some sorta on-board effect, but i'm not sure what. I want it to be something original, though, and something that'll make me cry tears of joy with its awesomeness.

...anyone?



oh yea, and it can't be hugely expensive, either. :s

how about a hot-rod paint job ? Airbrushed flames.

yea, the plan is also to paint it.. never really wanted to keep it just black. flames could be cool, i'll consider it.

but i also want something electronic to do. some cool onboard effect or something..

id say, stick in some juicy humbuckers (duncan invaders are my personal favourite pickup, for high gain stuff.). and slap on a cool design.
