I tried to do it with 3 cans of spray , the 'lightly tinted' can did appear to be a bit light on the tint though . I was going to get a black pickguard but may stay with the white as you say it is more of a white blonde . It`ll be 21 years old this year so I guess it`s looking pretty good {better than my car anyway}

Heck yeah! I wish I was handy like that. The most I've ever even attempted is simple repairs like replacing toggle-switches and such, and sometimes I've even managed to bollocks up things like that.

So I take it the Welsh Dragon will not be making a re-appearance?

I`ve just about finished it , 3 cans of nitro and a lot of sanding later , it looks a bit pale though and may be in for some sunbathing out the garden .

I`m making ammends for the first time i sanded it down , i was a little bit over zealous with the use of power tools . It took about 5 days to get this ready for spraying , lucky we had a run of good weather so it made it a little more bearable.

Unfortuneately the dragons' 14 year residency has come to an end, although I did see a reliced up Tele the other day with a great decal on it of one of the pin up girls as seen on the nose of WW2 bomber, it really looked the part .

Thanks Blaze much appreciated , I was lucky with the wood underneath and the nitro coat is really thin , but there are some gorgeous on display here .:master:

Heres mine

1998 Affinity modded into an Esquire. has a great switching mod that gives vol+tone/vol only/straight to jack. The early affinities are nice, because they have thru stinging, full thickness body and hotter p/ups
EsquiredBSB1.jpg

Now my Squier Standard, lives with either a white pearl guard or a red torty one. Only mods are opened out neck cover on p/up and a 4 wat switch. Great guitars the Squier Standards

Now, not quite a real tele, but not far off. A Peavey Generation, modded to be more like a Nashville. Got this one for next to nothing, but is a great little player and a lovely sounding guitar. Very underrated these Peaveys.

I have a few other teles, I may post them sometime.

HERE is my 2008 MIK TELE CUSTOM

Wow, I love those kinds of Tele's! That one is much better looking than the Custom FMT's I've lusted after.
What kind of pickups do you have in it?

How does one go about saying "That's just wrong" in Finnish?

LOL I think it'd be basically just 'no-o!' or maybe close to 'like, no-ot!':
'Siis e-i!'

Cool.

Do they all have the belly cut? I was unaware of that.

This is not an original or RI but rather a close approximation put together by me.

Though my brother has the RI and it does have the bellycut also.
Don't know if all the originals had a bellycut but from those I've have seen, they have it.

I usually play strats and I find the 72 deluxe as a kind of a strat meets tele.

Ron Kirn is the man. I am a member of TDPRI also and his builds are legendary. I am over there studying up as I plan to build a Tele soon. I am looking at Mahogany with a spalted maple cap for the top. Those guys over there make it look so easy tho.
