I seem to remember a spray product that gave the vintage guitar smell. Am I dreaming, or on to a new idea?

I don't know, but I got another whif the other day (and it ain't :bootyshake ) when a friend opened up the case of his '36 Dobro electric steel. It's always the same smell. I wish all my music stuff smelled like that. Not that it's a great smell, but it represents something very good!

Most of my 'vintage' stuff smells like stale beer & cigarette smoke. Earned from gigging the most prestigious flop-joints.

Until I wipe 'em down :)

The only thing I can think of is old varnish smell, or mildew. Neither or which is probably profitable for manufacture.
