I do not seem to have much GAS lately. What is wrong with me? It seems I have most of what I need now. Single coil guitars, a humbucker guitar, a Mack, a Marshall, tons of pedals. I have not really been GAS free the last 5 years, but I am almost getting there now. Weird.

One thing I might do though, is to buy some more Lava cables. Always good to have some extra cables of great quality.

I do not have much more space for guitars and amps, although I will get the new small Mack amp called the GEM, in August.

Hmm, I guess I could have use for a good acoustic... although I do not play much acoustic guitar.

So what do I need?! :)

You are just in denial!

You say you don't have GAS, but from your post I can tell the gears are turning in your head. You should just do what all of us do: Give up, as there is no cure.

Simple Robert......you need to get low down and dirty, dive into the swampy morass as it were. And to do that, you need a RESO, preferably a biscuit cone one that give a lot of BITE to your music. :rotflmao:

Interesting that you posted this TODAY, Robert! I'm just abt to head up to one of the two local mom n pop stores here to check out the EPI line, which they just took on, and a Taylor SolidBody Classic!

I'll have to trade one or two of my current gits. Probably my MIM Tele if I go w an Epi SG, or my best investment, my Ric 360/12 string if I go for the Taylor. I have a feeling a new Taylor SolidBody Classic is in my very near future!

GAS strikes again, and w me having no extra spending $ at this time! But I am overwhelmed w that insatiable urge that can only cured by a new ax! Lord help me!!! :D :thwap:

Hmm, given your amphs, you might need a re-issue Twin, Deluxe or the like for that pure fendery sound, since your amphs are more warm, marshall sounds. That, or a decent acoustic. Or maybe a mandolin. ;)

I have been feeling the same way. It is kind of weird. I am content with what I have right now but feel kinda low and itchy and sweaty and bloated and depressed and faint and................................................................................................................................................................................

I can totally relate. This is a great sign of maturity. However, with that maturity comes responsibility. Your responsibility now is to purchase for the unfortunate others who have not been able to quell their GAS.

I'd like:
some new cables
a set of Custom Shop pickups
and a Parker Fly guitar

There now don't you feel better.:D

Here s some interesting GAS..

Robert you are becoming a musician! It is just a job and you have the tools you need to do that job. You get paid for the gigs, and the equipment you have is more than adequate. I agree 100% I have hardly played my guitars in weeks. I think it is just summer and there are so many things to do outdoors, so sitting playing a guitar is not good when the sun is shining.

Blaze now that's just not right, how am I going to be able to focus on fixin cars with that image in my head now?Your mean that's what you are mean.:bravo: :dude:  Sumi:D

Robert what would be wrong about a brand new Acoustic-Electric Takamine? I think you could do great with one and a new Roland 90 to play it through. :D

Gentlemen please...

...our boy simply needs to discover the real world of steel guitar.
His lack of GAS will be cured immediately as well as discovering some of the best music making/listening possibilities available.

I believe it is a case a weather change. After a long winter, the outdoor activity is increasing, therefore distracting us from the guitar and gear craze that had a firm hold of us during the winter months.

This would explain the situation for people in the northern hemisphere. I can't explain the people in the southern hemisphere, but I admit I never could.

This of course is just theory, but as I have pointed out many times before - I am never wrong.

I am with Tibernius, I think something with P90's would lite your fire:rockon:

Good point.:AOK:

Your recent feelings Roberto are probably indeed related to global warming. And just like GW the end of your GAS isn't really happening either.:D

Relax folks it's just a joke.

I think we need a big Fret.Net party where we all get together to jam over some tunes and drink beer (or insert favourite beverage here). Why don't you guys come over to my back yard next weekend? I'll run the BBQ for ya. Spud will bring the beer.

Relax, you're just going thru guitopause. All guys go thru it in mid-life....it's
when you DON'T get hot flashes, sweaty palms, itchy fingers. It'll pass.....it'll
pass

If your backyard extends to Ohio - I'm there!!!

You need a pointy. You haven't passed the shredding stage. You've only forgotten your true self.

recording gear

you need a place to put all that great playing:

First:

then into:

then you use the free:

to make all those hit singles that are just in your head... but you need monitors to hear all the cool stuff you'll be recording ... I tried to put a pic but my allocation is filled. Google KRK Rokit, Behringer Truths or Yamaha MSR's

Lots of GAS !!!
