I have a pair of these MSP3's. Got the pair for about USD 400.00 here in Trinidad. I don't think I've ever spent a better dime.

Important words: critical listening.

Here's a list of decent monitors in the 300 - 600 per pair range. You'll have to check to see which are still available. Used might be the real deal.

Excellent info Monkus. I was just wondering about monitors as we rebuild our rec room where the iMac is going to be the hub for music recording, pre-recorded music playing, and media/television, etc. I was going to hook up my good old studio monitor type stereo speakers through my stereo, but was wondering about also getting some inexpensive monitors for my own music recording.

Robert, good to hear your G.A.S. stopped for a while. Call it being satisfied. I mean a Marshall and a cool guitar, some cool pedals...that's a wicked combinaton, just ask Da Jimi Man ;-)

You cant also just jack the speakers into your DAW be it Mac, PC or Linux. Well you can but...you should need an interface.
