What is your coolest, most useful piece of gear for under $200

curious, have you used other clip-on's previously? I have and I'venot found one I completely pleased with, but it sounds like you have!

I've used borrowed Intellitouchs, a couple of different borrowed cheapos and a Korg (which I've lost). The Snark just works well and beats anything in its price range. Oh, and it has the best display I've ever seen. I thought I'd mention it since this was a bargain thread.

The difference in models is that the blue one covers the range of a guitar, the red one has an extended frequency range, so is probably better for bass. The last I heard the black one was a GC special and is just a blue type in a different colour. I like the colours, they're hard to lose.

H'mm? My home made fuzz face and delay pedals. Both under >$200 and both blew me away with how great they sounded. (I have severe GAS for the Styrmon El Capistan tape echo though, just unbelievable) I have the GFS tuner too, and whilst its very useful and faceslappingly good value. I don't find tuners all that "cool" I guess

Sadly I can't give a complete list as the uPOG and RC-2 that are also on my board cost a pinch over $200, but the RC-2 is a shoe in for "most useful" and the uPOG is definitely very, very, cool!

Oh I nabbed a cheapo curly cord the other day too. Curly cords. For -serious- Mojo

There's some other stuff on my pedal board (heck even the board itself) that qualifies too, but I'm rewiring and re-ordering it all ATM and I have a bunch of new pedals too so I might start a NPD thread when it's all wired up and has it's beauty shots taken.

There are several items I've bought, each costing well under $200, that I use constantly.

- Fulltone OCD (the best overdrive pedal I've ever found)
- PedalTrain pedal board
- Vodoo Labs PedalPower ISO-5 (the quietest power supply on the market. I've tried them all and this is the quietest I've found)
