Depends. I've gotten parts locally, ordered from Stew-Mac, AXcessories, and MF, etc. It just depends on whether I can get what I need locally and if I'm going to be in Green Bay to get it.

What kind of parts? Guitar parts, electronics?

I buy/have bought stuff from:

Smallbear
Futurlec
Madbean
General Guitar Gadgets
Effects Connection
Pedal Parts Plus
Tonepad
Jaycar
Guitar Fetish

and of course,

eBay

For cable-building and stuff, I like redco.com a lot -- they have good prices. I haven't done much with guitar modding or other electronics.

I had a very good experience with GuitarNucleus.com. They don't have as broad an inventory as a StewMac or AllParts, but they have the basics at good prices, with quick shipping. They even answer their phone!

I second all of these!! For electronics I use:

Tayda
Jameco
Futurlec

But its getting harder to find "good" guitar parts. I keep going back to StewMac because I trust they have quality parts. Too much stuff made in "China". With the exception of "tuners" I going to try my hand at fabricating my own parts. I have made almost every part on a guitar but always with a long period of trial and error and looking nothing like the drawings. You know what they say practice practice practice.
