cool....it's good to push your boundaries!thearabianmage said:These are all very different from what I normally do, which I'll get a couple of my actual portfolio on here.

These drawings are very different to what I usually do - it's all about trying new things out right now. Setting foundations for everything I'll be wanting to learn in the future - right around now is when the way I learn changes and it will become more difficult to grasp new concepts, so I've tried grasping as many new concepts as I could over past 3 years.
The first is (me) a dude sitting on a ledge looking out over a scene. I was trying to 'texture' and 'shade' the background using only lines done by a pen.
The second is my study on perspective and backgrounds - the latter being a particular weakness of mine.
The last is my 2nd ever (or 3rd, I can't remember) watercolour. And it's a black mage. . . My version of a black mage. . . I love black mages. . . Final Fantasy Rocks!
The former two are pretty much true-scale pictures. . . they were done on A5 sized paper - if you Americans () take a sheet of normal college-ruled paper, and fold it in half (touch the top to the bottom) then you get about the same size paper as A5. (and that proves my 'Americanality. . . there is no such thing as 'college ruled' paper in England, only A1-A6 - lines or no)
I've got about 150-200 more, but for now, these three will do. I'll add about 5 or 10 more when I get the chance - they will show off my 'trademark' fine-detail. When I say fine, I mean fine. . .
I just hope people here aren't. . .uh. . .squeamish. . .
