The Gibby forum here has been slow. Let's speed it up a bit. Show us your SG's.

Here's mine - a 2002 Supreme:

I wish I had one! I've never been a Gibson guy, can't afford to be, heh.

I like SG's though. Derek Trucks plays them SG's, doesn't he? He is one bad a** player too. Slide master at young age.

Derek may own and play SG's from time to time but I believe he still has a Washburn endorsement. He let me play his one night and they felt very much like a Gibson.

I've seen him twice w/ the Allman Bros. and he played nothing but the same red SG both times.

yep...although he did play an acoustic guitar for one song with ec but i'm not sure what kind it was (he then went back to the sg while eric and doyle stayed acoustic)....he also plays a lot of slide on his wife susan tedeschi's latest album and a lot of it sounds like a mic'ed resonator.....

He let u play his one night???

I've seen Derek play for the ABB twice (each of last 2 years) and both times played his red SG. I LOVE his playing.

U met him?? and played his guitar?!

Yup. I spent his 18th birthday with him. The story is somewhere on thefret.

So I guess he doesn't have the Washburn endorsement anymore?

I checked his web site and no mention of Washburn there. I'll bet he still has them though. They were super nice expensive axes surely he wouldn't part with them after going through puberty with them.

Probably has a Gibson deal now is my guess.

Oh man Warren. That was really good. Harsh but very witty. I hope that I never dissappear from thefret or you'll tear me apart.:D

Nice!! I've never owned an SG, but have really liked 'em since Clapton had that psychedelically painted one when he was with Cream. Oops, showing my age again! :D

if i remember correctly, think i saw some new SG-styled guitars on the Reverend site too.

Yep, P-90 and HB versions, slightly longer horns, somewhere between an SG and a DC Melody Maker:

My "SG" is a MIK "Agile" brand Valkyrie II P-90 I picked up new on closeout for $99:

Great guitar, and the price was too good to pass up. I sold my Epi G400 humbuckered SG after I got the Agile.

Here are mine..

I really like the SG Classic. The other is a LPSG '62 Historic Reissue. Great player, but it will be up for sale soon too... :(
